Kremlin wins where there is "Russian world"

The President of Moldova, Maia Sandu, had to face unprecedented obstruction during her trip to the Autonomous Region of Gagauzia

Deputies of the local parliament arranged a real scandal for their own head of state.  They demanded that Sandu "repair relations" with Putin's Russia and solve the gas supply problem, and claimed that all problems are due to the president's policies, in particular, Sandu's participation in the Crimean Platform summit.

Sandu behaved with dignity and answered the critics: "you cannot ask me to support the war in Ukraine. We cannot and will not support the war. We will support Ukraine."  But the willingness of the president of Moldova to discuss with opponents does not cancel the simple fact: there are many supporters of Russia in the leadership of Gagauzia.  These people dont care about the death of Ukrainians.  They are ready to use even the economic problems of their region to restore the influence of the Kremlin in Moldova!

Gagauzia is the only example of settlement of the territorial problem on the territory of the former USSR.  Like Transnistria, Gagauzia declared its "independence" back in the early 1990s.  However, it was possible to settle the problem, to grant Gagauzia wide autonomy, in particular for the development of the Gagauz language and culture.

The results are obvious: the preservation of the Gagauz identity was only a pretext for increasing Russian influence.  The Gagauz language and culture are dying, most of the residents of the autonomy do not know either their native language or the Romanian language and communicate in Russian, and Russian political influence in the autonomy leads to voting for pro-Kremlin politicians.  Instead of taking advantage of the historical chance and preserving the Gagauz people, this government preserves a slumbering "scoop" and poverty in the region.  And now they  insult the President of Moldova in front of the whole country.

And this situation is a lesson for Ukraine.  Where the "Soviet" mentality and the "Russian measure" are preserved, the Kremlin will surely succeed.  Not with the help of tanks, but with the help of lying television, not with the help of television - but with the help of "pops" and fed bloggers.  If the native language of the Gagauz people was Gagauz, and not Russian, if they had learned the Romanian language with all of Moldova, they would have had a different life and different policies a long time ago.  And there would not have been this shameful session of Putin's obscurantism in the regional parliament.
