Kremlin responds to F-16 fighter jets provision to Ukraine
Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the provision of F-16 aircraft to Ukraine will not significantly affect the situation on the battlefield
This is reported by the Russian mass media.
According to the press secretary of President Putin, the provision of American F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine is incapable of fundamentally altering the situation at the front.
Peskov stated, "It is evident that this escalating trend continues with the supply of increasingly advanced weaponry. While the decision to include aircraft has been made, like other types of weapons, it cannot fundamentally change the situation at the front."

On May 20, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed that the supply of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine poses significant risks for Western countries themselves.

It should be noted that on May 21, President Joe Biden approved the training of Ukrainian personnel on the F-16. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reassured that Ukraine has no intention of using these aircraft to attack Russian territory.
-
The Pentagon stated on May 23 that they believe the transfer of F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine could take several months.
