Kremlin reacts to Johnson's words about Putin's missile threats
The spokesman for Russian president Dmitry Peskov said that the words of former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson about the threats of a missile strike from Vladimir Putin are not true
This was reported by Russian media.
Peskov claimed Johnson's story that Putin threatened him with a missile strike on the UK in February 2022, before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, is a lie.
"What Johnson said is not true. More precisely, it is a lie. If it is a deliberate lie, then perhaps we should ask what was the purpose of his lie. Or it was an unconscious lie, and he didn't actually understand what President Putin was talking about. Then it becomes embarrassing for our president's interlocutor," Peskov said.
He added that he knew what was discussed during Putin's conversation with Johnson.
"I repeat once again for the record: this is a lie. There were no missile threats," Peskov assured.
