If Belarus enters war, then it will dissolve in Russian Empire - Ukrainian Security Service Major General Yahun

He expressed his opinion on the air of the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on the Espreso TV channel.

"If the Belarusian army crosses the border of Ukraine, it will be the last day of the independence of Belarus as a state. Whatever this army is, it is the army of Belarus. This army must be subordinate to the head of the state, or whatever he is named. And this is the last bastion that still exists behind Lukashenko's back. I am sure that we will be able to stop and defeat them. And then, most likely, Belarus as an independent state may disappear," Yahun believes.

According to the Major General, Belarus will remain as a fake state. Because it is beneficial for Russia to have one more voice in international organizations.

 "And the state of Belarus, the currency, the police, the special services, the army - all this will dissolve in the Russian Empire. This is, according to Putin's hopes, just the sip that can prolong his life, his power for a short period of time. He is now doing everything to stay in power. Putin has no prospects of victory, he is no longer taken seriously anywhere," Yahun added.
