England sees Ukraine-2022 as remake of England-1940, which fought face-to-face with Hitler - Russian political scientist
Russian political scientist Andrey Piontkovsky noted that Ukraine will have the support of Great Britain regardless of which party is in power
He said this on the air of the "West Studio with Antin Borkovsky" program on the Espreso TV channel.
"The most ardent friends of Ukraine are Boris Johnson and Liz Truss. And this policy will not change, it is the support of the whole of England. The whole of England sees Ukraine-2022 as a remake of England-1940, which fought face-to-face with Hitler. The resignation of Liz Truss fundamentally does not change anything. Just these days, the minister of Great Britain is in Washington, and it is quite clear that such an extraordinary visit is caused by the situation with the war," Piontkovsky said.
The political scientist also added that both the United States of America and Great Britain strongly condemned the barbaric bombing of Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
"The support of Great Britain, as Ukraine's best and closest friend, will remain unchanged. We must thank the outgoing Prime Minister for the huge contribution she personally made to the development of this British policy," Piontkovsky emphasized.
