Collaborators and occupiers leave Crimea, L/DPR – Ukraine’s intelligence
Andriy Yusov, a Defense Intelligence representative, said that some of the Russian elites are planning their future in Russia after Putin
He stated this in an interview with RBC-Ukraine.
When asked about collaborators departing from occupied territories, he replied: "It's evident in Crimea and beyond. Every time there is an incident, such as someone smoking in the wrong place or measures taken to demilitarize the Ukrainian peninsula's occupiers, there are traffic jams of several kilometers as people leave Crimea for Russia. The leadership of the occupation administrations in Crimea and the command have mostly taken care of relocating their families outside the Russian Federation, or at least within Muscovy's borders. The same is true for the conditional elites in business, politics, and the military who have secured higher levels of safety for their families and assets. However, the general public is told that everything is going according to plan."
He further stated that this situation isn't unique to occupied Crimea; it also applies to the so-called "LPR," "DPR," and other occupied territories. “The occupation administration members are basically sitting on their suitcases, ready to leave anytime. They haven't done this so far, at least concerning their families' removal, solely because of fear of the higher command that forbids such actions. In this situation, their families are in many ways hostages of the Kremlin regime," Yusov said.
