“Chronicles of Hell”: a documentary about occupied Mariupol by Ukrainian director Tatarynova appeared online
Director Elizaveta Tatarinova filmed everything that happened in occupied Mariupol. More than 6,000 people watched the documentary 5 hours after its publication
The film was published on Youtube.
The film tells about the beginning of the war, the life of the city without light, gas and water, how the residents of the city hid in dungeons and the deportation of Mariupol to Russia.
“Mariupol is destroyed but unconquered. A city in eastern Ukraine with a population of almost half a million survived the occupation, complete destruction and humanitarian catastrophe. The occupiers destroyed civilians, preventing them from escaping. In this film there is the story of the survivors, about life in hell and ultimately – salvation,” the description of the film states.
The press service of the Mariupol City Council reported that among the heroes of the film are those who survived the bombing of the drama theater and were on the site of the bombed maternity hospital.
“The world must know the truth about Mariupol! Criminals must be punished!” the press service added.
