China and West have common interest in war against Ukraine – diplomat

This was stated by a Ukrainian diplomat Oleksandr Samarskyi on Espreso TV.

"China and the West have certain common interests in this war. They coincide in that neither the West nor China wants Russia to lose, but the West wants Ukraine to win, although in such a way that Russia does not lose. China is not interested in Russia's defeat at all, because they will not find another such country with a president who will give them everything they want," he said.

According to the diplomat, China does not need a further war, which, in the case of arms supplies to Russia, will be accompanied by similar supplies to Ukraine.

"Given the very low quality of the Russian army, this could lead to unpredictable internal political events in the Russian Federation itself, up to and including its collapse. I am sure that the option of Russia's collapse has already been worked out in China. This is not the main or most desirable option for them," Samarskyi concluded.
