Reuters reports with reference to the statement of Andrew Griffith from the Ministry of Finance.
"We have imposed the toughest sanctions against Russia, and this is undermining their war machine. Our message is clear: we will not allow Putin to succeed in this brutal war", he said.
For today, Great Britain has imposed sanctions on over 1,200 individuals and over 120 organizations in Russia, including prominent businessmen, companies and prominent politicians.
Russia has overtaken Libya and Iran to become the most sanctioned country in the UK, according to Financial Sanctions Authority, which is part of Ministry of Finance. Russian frozen assets are £6 billion more than amount covered by all other UK sanctions regimes.
