British Defense Minister Ben Wallace comments on Russian withdrawal from Kherson
After Russian army retreat from Kherson, British Defence Minister Ben Wallace advised ordinary Russians to ask themselves why Vladimir Putin unleashed this war against Ukraine
This is reported by the British Defence Ministry on Twitter.
According to Ben Wallace, the withdrawal from Kherson was another failure of the Russian army in the full-scale war against Ukraine.
"Russia's announced withdrawal from Kherson marks another strategic failure for them. In February, Russia failed to take any of its major objectives except Kherson. And now that this city is surrendered, ordinary people in Russia must surely ask themselves, "What was it all for?"
He promised that Britain would continue to support Ukraine.
"The Russian army has suffered huge human losses by its illegal invasion and has only achieved international isolation and humiliation. Ukraine will press on. The United Kingdom and the international community will continue to support them. While the withdrawal from Kherson is welcome, no one will underestimate the Russian Federation's threat," Wallace assured.
