Britain willing to provide Ukraine with combat tanks
The spokesman for the British government says that Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has appealed to the Minister of Defense with a request to "speed up support for Ukraine, including the provision of tanks"

The Financial Times reported the information.
"We are accelerating our support to Ukraine with the type of next-generation military technology that will help win this war. It’s clear that battle tanks could provide a game-changing capability to the Ukrainians," said the government representative.
Rishi Sunak has asked Defense Secretary Ben Wallace to work with partners in the coming weeks to discuss “how we can go even further and faster on our support to Ukraine including the provision of tanks.”
The Evening Standard notes that Britain is considering supplying six Challenger 2 tanks.
- On January 11, Poland announced its willingness to transfer a company of Leopard tanks to Ukraine as part of the international coalition, and Lithuania pledged to provide air defense systems.
