Sky News reported this with reference to the UK Ministry of Defense.
The ministry is said to be buying thousands of anti-tank weapons as part of a £223m deal with Swedish manufacturer Saab. The guns will be assembled at the Thales plant in Belfast and will be delivered to the British Army.
It is noted that the light anti-tank weapon of the new generation is a missile system controlled by a soldier from the shoulder.
It is known that part of the British stockpile of weapons was previously transferred to Ukraine. Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said the weapons played a “crucial role” in supporting the Ukrainian army.
