Biden rejects China's "peace plan", Beijing role in Russia talks
US President Joe Biden rejected the "peace plan" proposed by China, suggesting that its implementation would only benefit Moscow
He said this on February 25 in an interview with ABC News, CNN cites.
"If Putin is applauding it, how could it be any good? I've seen nothing in the plan that would indicate that there is something that would be beneficial to anyone other than Russia if the Chinese plan were followed," the US president said.
In addition to criticizing the peace plan, Biden rejected the idea of China's participation as a mediator in peace negotiations between the Russian Federation and Ukraine, calling it irrational.
"The idea that China is going to be negotiating the outcome of a war that is a totally unjust war for Ukraine is just not rational," Biden said.
