Belarusians stand on border with Ukraine with Russian missile systems - member of opposition government RB Azarov
On the border with Ukraine, there are Belarusian units reinforced by Russian missile systems, but these units are not enough to conduct an offensive
Oleksandr Azarov, head of the BYPOL Association of Security Forces and a member of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, stated this on Espreso TV.
"This is very strange. At first, equipment was exported from Belarus, now it is imported. Belarusian was exported, Russian was brought in. Perhaps this was a process related to the fact that Lukashenko persuaded Putin not to introduce his troops. He could tell Putin to take and use equipment, but there is no need to introduce manpower," he said.
Azarov believes that it is clear that Putin has decided to insist on his own.
"Russian equipment has now begun to move with the Russian troops. There are indeed Belarusian units reinforced by Russian missile systems on the border with Ukraine. These units are not enough to carry out an offensive. Everything will depend on the number of Russians arriving," the oppositionist concluded.
