Belarusian attack risk remains: mobilization in border regions, Russian troop presence - Belarusian journalist
Belarusian journalist Natalia Radina has said that the threat of an attack on Ukraine from the north remains current, as Russian troops are still present in Belarus, and mobilization is taking place in the Gomel and Brest regions
The journalist and editor-in-chief of the Charter97 website shared details with Espreso.
"Mobilization exercises are being held in Gomel and Brest regions. Agendas are being distributed to Belarusians and taken to the border with Ukraine. Russian troops remain in Belarus. The likelihood of an attack on Ukraine by Belarus will remain as long as Lukashenko's puppet, dictatorial regime is in power," Radina said.
The journalist added that it was easy enough to send troops from Russia to attack Belarus.
"Fortifications are being built and trenches are being dug on the border with Ukraine. Special operations forces are also taking part in mobilization exercises in Belarus. Moreover, it's easy enough to send Russian troops from Russia's territory or from the south-east of Ukraine to attack the western regions. So anything is possible," Natalia Radina said.
