Azovstal field hospital partially collapses in heavy Russian shelling – Azov Regiment
On April 28, in Mariupol, Russian forces submitted the Azovstal plant, which contains a field hospital for wounded Ukrainian soldiers to intense shelling, pounding it with multi-ton bombs and naval artillery fire all night
The Azov Regiment shared information on the shelling.
As a result, some of the wounded servicemen being treated at the field hospital have died, received new injuries, and others are shell-shocked.
"Due to the Russian attack, part of the premises has collapsed: the operating room. This makes it impossible now to help our soldiers even in the conditions that were before. We note! The Geneva Convention guarantees the protection of stationary and mobile medical institutions, they should not be attacked! Wounded and sick must be protected, regardless of whether they are civilians or military persons (combatants). The wounded should be provided with the necessary assistance without any discrimination", the Azov Regiment writes.
They urged international human rights organizations to respond to the fact that Russia continues to try to "destroy those defenders of Mariupol, who can no longer hold weapons in their hands".
