About 30,000 Russian troops are in Mariupol area, they prepare offensive
Russia has been amassing troops near Mariupol and its outskirts - their number has now exceeded 30,000, which could mean that an offensive is being prepared
According to Petro Andriushchenko, an adviser to the mayor of Mariupol, the occupying forces' military corps in the region has increased by 10,000-15,000 over the past week, mostly in villages near the city. At the same time, Kadyrov's unit of 2,000-3,000 soldiers entered one of the seaside villages.
“Perhaps this is the formation of a 'barrier detachment' for a potential offensive, because according to our information, no major actions of the Russian Guard are planned either in Mariupol or in the district,”Andriushchenko wrote.
In addition, military raids have intensified in the villages of the Mariupol district, and the Russian soldiers themselves tell the locals that the priority of the attack is Vuhledar and Zaporizhzhia. It is also reported that the movement of equipment is carried out at night and in an attempt to bypass Mariupol.
