200-500 kg TNT equivalent explosive could have hit Crimean bridge – military expert
Valerii Riabykh, military expert and development director of the Defense Express media and consulting company, believes that the Crimean bridge won't function in the near future
He shared his opinion with Espreso TV.
"There are no signs of an air strike on the Crimean bridge. The nature of the damage to the bridge indicates that the attack took place from below, using a powerful explosive device. The explosion caused one of the bridge spans to come off its support and collapse. The bridge will not be operational in the near future, which will significantly complicate the supply of the Russian military grouping," emphasized Riabykh.
According to him, the attack on the Crimean bridge was carried out by a remotely controlled surface or underwater vehicle.
"Such damage could have been caused by a blast with 200 to 500 kg of explosives. Of course, the pillar itself could also have been damaged. It could have been a remote-controlled surface or underwater vehicle. There are different types of such devices that are being improved to have a wider range, which allows for more powerful strikes against the enemy," explained Riabykh.
