Bomb techs discover minefield near critical infrastructure in Kharkiv region
In the Izium district of Kharkiv region, explosive experts discovered a two-row anti-tank minefield with TM-62M mines and MVCH-62 fuses near infrastructure facilities

It is noted that the explosive experts from Kyiv are demining critical infrastructure facilities in the Izium district. Specialists are destroying the found Russian arsenal in designated areas.
In addition, experts are inspecting forest areas and settlements where they find other dangerous ammunition left by the Russian military.
What is known about demining in Ukraine
In March 2023, the UNDP said that the area of mined territory in Ukraine was 4.5 times the size of Switzerland.
In August, the Ministry of Economy said that it hoped to clear 80% of the land in 10 years and return it to use.
In the same month, Ukraine's first domestically produced demining machine received a certificate of conformity. This development allows for the effective disposal of anti-personnel and detection of anti-tank mines.
On September 22, it was reported that Ukraine would launch a market for humanitarian demining services through Prozorro.
As of October 31, nearly 178,000 hectares of agricultural land had been returned to use after being inspected by sappers and demined. At the same time, it was planned to return up to 165 thousand hectares to farmers this year.
On November 6, Ukraine received 6 DIGITAL VANGUARD-S robotic systems from Canada to help rescuers remotely defuse explosive ordnance. Later this month, Azerbaijan handed over a demining vehicle to Ukraine, and it went to Poltava region.
The Swiss company Global Clearance Solutions (GCS) plans to deliver 60 remote-controlled demining vehicles to Ukraine by mid-2024.
In January, sappers inspected more than 21,000 hectares of agricultural land for explosives, most of it in Kherson region.
