Oleksandr Shtupun, spokesman for the press center of the Tavria Defense Forces, said this during the telethon.

"Despite rather difficult combat conditions, our troops advanced in the areas of Urozhayne and Robotyne. At the moment they are advancing in the direction of Novoprokopivka near Robotyne and in the direction of Mala Tokmachka - Ocherevate," emphasized the spokesman.

He also noted that in the Zaporizhzhia sector, the enemy has reinforced its air component and increased the number of air strikes. However, this indicates that the enemy cannot restrain the offensive of our troops with other forces and means.

"They are irretrievably losing up to 100 people every day, as well as wounded and prisoners. Yesterday they lost a total of 305 people. They are trying to patch it up, but it is a mess," added Shtupun.

At the same time, the spokesman emphasized that the defenders face "quite powerful" Russian defense lines ahead.

What is known about the Ukrainian Armed Forces' offensive in the direction of the Zaporizhzhia region

On August 21, the Defense Ministry reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were successful near Robotyne and south of Mala Tokmachka in the  Zaporizhzhia region.

On August 22, the General Staff stated that the Ukrainian military had succeeded in the direction of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region, and were consolidating the lines they had reached. At the same time, the Russian army is moving its troops and using reserves.

Then, on Tuesday, August 22, soldiers from the 47th separate mechanized brigade entered the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia. They also helped civilians leave the area. A Ukrainian military officer, Viktor Burlyk, said that our troops have liberated Robotyne, but some Russian units were still close by.

By Wednesday, August 23, the soldiers from the 47th separate mechanized brigade proudly raised the Ukrainian flag with Zaluzhnyi's signature in Robotyne, towards Melitopol.

Later, it was reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces continued counteroffensive operations near Robotyne in western Zaporizhzhia region on August 25 and advanced as Russian "military commanders" expressed concern about the lack of reinforcements and rotation in the area.

Later, the Institute for the Study of War noted that the Defense Forces made further tactically significant gains in the western part of Zaporizhzhia region, and are likely to advance through a complex series of Russian occupiers' defensive positions.
