Russian forces have brought large reserves to Vuhledar - Ukrainian military
Oleksandr Voitko, a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, noted that Russia is concentrating its forces near Vuhledar, because Volnovakha, an important logistics hub for the Russian invaders, is not so far away.
He spoke about this on Espreso TV.
"In the Vuhledar direction, after the Russian occupiers were driven out of their positions in Mykilski Dachi, the fighting moved to a positional phase. Now Ukrainian units are firing on Mykilske, where the enemy continues to be located. We have to understand that Russia has brought large reserves to Vuhledar because Volnovakha is not far away, which is an important logistics hub for them," the Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman said.
Oleksandr Voitko said that Ukrainian defenders continue to destroy manpower and equipment of the Russian invaders. Active combat operations are underway, as well as the advancement of Ukrainian units to the west of Vuhledar, in the area of Velyka Novosilka.
"The enemy contingent in this area is quite different, as the enemy has brought in many units. There are marine brigades, airborne units, motorized rifle and infantry regiments, units from the so-called DPR and Storm Z, which are used by the enemy in hotter and more advanced positions. We have even met sailors from the Pacific Fleet who were taken off their ships and sent to reinforce these marine brigades. We understand that the invaders still have a lot of forces in this area, a large number of both military and equipment. But our units are working, inflicting fire damage on the enemy and destroying Russian occupiers near Vuhledar every day," emphasized Voitko.
