Ukraine's forces make gains: 3 sq. km liberated on Bakhmut front
Hanna Maliar, Deputy Minister of Defence of Ukraine, announced that Ukrainian forces have captured three square kilometers on the Bakhmut front within the past week
Ukrainska Pravda reports it with reference to Maliar.
A total of 40 square kilometers of territory have now been liberated on the Bakhmut front's southern flank. Russian forces still attempted to reclaim lost ground west of Klishchiivka, Andriivka, and Kurdiumivka.
Maliar also revealed that Ukrainian defenders are achieving victory in Urozhaine village on the southern front, while pushing forward on the Melitopol and Berdyansk fronts. Fighting persisted in Urozhaine this week, with Ukrainian forces securing notable gains.
In addition, Maliar highlighted that Ukraine's Armed Forces have attained accomplishments to the south and southeast of Staromayorske, consolidating their position in specific areas.
Maliar concluded by confirming the successful fulfillment of the Ukrainian military's task on the Dnipro River's left bank in the Kherson region.
“Certain units performed certain tasks there, of course we cannot say what exactly was done, but we coped with these tasks. We need to push back the enemy and clear up the territory in order to gain ground there,” she said.
