The 3rd Detached Assault Brigade confirmed the liberation of Andriivka and stated that "the 72nd Detached Mechanized Brigade of the Russian Federation is smashed to pieces!"

According to them, in two days Ukrainian military neutralized the head of Russian brigade intelligence, three brigade commanders and almost all infantry of the 72nd Brigade, along with officers and a significant amount of equipment.

"As of now, the fighting is ongoing, Ukrainian units continue to consolidate their positions. So we will tell you about the specific numbers of the enemy's killed and wounded and other most interesting details of the operation later," the statement added.

MP Nestor Shufrych is suspected of treason

On September 15, law enforcement officers conducted searches at the home of Nestor Shufrych, an MP from the banned Opposition Platform for Life political party. He was notified of being suspected of treason.

This was reported by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office.

"According to the investigation, the MP of Ukraine was performing the tasks of one of the former deputy secretaries of the National Security and Defense Council, who went to Moscow in 2014 and was recruited by the Russian FSB. In his speeches and interviews, the suspect systematically disseminated the narratives of the aggressor state, conducting subversive activities against Ukraine. He disseminated information aimed at expressing condemnation, diminishing the authority and discrediting the institutions of the Ukrainian government. He also discredited the activities of the heads of intelligence and law enforcement agencies," the statement said.

During searches at Shufrych's residence, Soviet symbols were seized.

Ukraine's Security Service announces new suspicion of Kolomoisky for misappropriation of UAH 5.8 billion

The former ultimate beneficial owner of PrivatBank, Ihor Kolomoisky, has been served the third suspicion of misappropriation of UAH 5.8 billion.

This was reported by the Security Service.

It is noted that between 2013 and 2014, Kolomoisky illegally seized UAH 5.8 billion. To do this, he created a group consisting of employees of the bank, in which he was the founder and shareholder.

During the year, members of this group allowed Kolomoisky to allegedly make systematic fictitious "cash deposits to the bank's cash desk", although in fact the bank did not receive any deposits. According to the investigation, this "scheme" allowed him to receive a total of UAH 5.8 billion, which was equivalent to more than $700 million at the time.

"To legalize the virtual assets, Kolomoisky paid with them in his business activities. In particular, he gave them as loans and used them to pay for loans to companies under his control, took them abroad, cashed them out and withdrew them from bank branches," the statement said.

More than 170 Russian soldiers want to surrender daily

The number of appeals to the I Want to Live program has doubled, and now more than 170 Russian soldiers want to surrender every day.

This was reported by the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

"Every day we record the arrival of dozens of Russians in Ukrainian captivity. Among them are both those who were captured as a result of hostilities and those who surrender voluntarily," noted Andriy Yusov, representative of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.

The intelligence officer reminded that the increase in the exchange fund contributes to the liberation of Ukrainian captured servicemen.

According to Yusov, the state program for surrender, called I Want to Live, receives much more applications than before. Before that, 70–100 applications were received per day, but now this figure has increased by one and a half to two times and amounts to 170 or more.

"1,000 applications are currently in the process of being implemented, and more than 200 are successful cases of withdrawal of Russian servicemen behind the front line. And this is only under the I Want to Live program," added Yusov.

Yanukovych and Azarov's case is now in court

Law enforcement officers have completed the pre-trial investigation and submitted the case against former President Viktor Yanukovych and former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov to court. They are suspected of treason.

This was reported by the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation.

It is noted that in 2010, Yanukovych was instructed by the Russian leadership to extend the stay of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. According to the 1997 Basic Agreements between Ukraine and Russia, this period had to expire in 2017.

According to the State Bureau of Investigation, Ukraine had previously confirmed its intention not to extend these agreements and prepared a bilateral Memorandum on the withdrawal of the Russian fleet. Instead, Russia ignored the official request. Through energy blackmail, the Russians decided to force the then Ukrainian leadership to extend the Black Sea Fleet's stay in Crimea. This subsequently led to the annexation of the peninsula.

Elements of Soviet Heroic City Kyiv monument dismantled in Kyiv

In Kyiv, elements of the Soviet Heroic City Kyiv monument on Halytska Square were dismantled: it is included in the preliminary list of memorials related to the history and culture of Russia and the USSR.

This is reported by the press service of the Kyiv City State Administration with reference to the Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Hanna Starostenko.

It is noted that the Department of Territorial Control of the city of Kyiv is engaged in dismantling.

The Department said that during the work, the stars on the sides and the annotation board in Russian were removed from the Kyiv Hero City monument. In addition, the inscription "1941" was changed to "1939", indicating the correct date of the beginning of World War II.

"Decommunization in action: employees of the Department of Territorial Control are completing the dismantling of elements from the monument on Halytska Square. To be continued!" emphasized Starostenko.

Ukrainian Sea Baby drone hits Russian Samum missile ship

On Thursday, September 14, a Ukrainian experimental drone Sea Baby targeted a Russian Samum missile ship.

This was reported by numerous Ukrainian media, citing their own sources in the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the sources, an experimental Sea Baby drone targeted a Russian Samum missile ship near Sevastopol Bay. It hit the rear right side of the Russian vessel, causing significant damage, and the ship lost its momentum.

The Russian occupiers have now towed the Samum away for repairs. At that time, the Russian vessel tilted to starboard.

The Sea Baby experimental marine drone operates even in a storm and is difficult to detect behind high waves. In particular, during the operation, the waves were 1.5-2 meters high.

This was stated by Belgian Defense Minister Ludivine Dedonder, Le Soir reports.

According to her, in the coming weeks, the Ministry of Defense will deploy a group of three soldiers at a training center for Ukrainian F-16 pilots in Denmark, which provided its Skridstrup air base, located in the south of the country.

Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted 442 Russian barrel artillery systems in September and are reaching parity in this weapon

In September, in 2 weeks, the Ukrainian Armed Forces targeted 442 Russian artillery pieces. The military is reaching parity with barrel artillery.

This was reported by Oleh Kalashnikov, a spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Major General Roman Dashkevych, on the Espreso TV channel.

"Thanks to artillery, we are making significant progress. We are reaching parity with cannon artillery. This is a very significant achievement," Kalashnikov said.

The military added that Russia does not stop firing at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with artillery, but thanks to the advance of Ukrainian troops, especially in Andriivka, where there are dominant heights, the Ukrainian army will be able to fully control a significant part of the 0513 route.
