Ukrainian army destroys 442 Russian barrel artillery systems, reaching parity in this weapon in September

Oleh Kalashnikov, a spokesman for the 26th Artillery Brigade named after Major General Roman Dashkevych, told the Espreso TV channel.

"Thanks to artillery, we are making significant progress. We are reaching parity with barrel artillery. This is a very significant achievement," Kalashnikov said.

The military added that the enemy does not stop firing at the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with artillery, but thanks to the advance of Ukrainian troops, especially in Andriivka, where there are dominant heights, the Ukrainian army will be able to fully control a significant part of the 0513 route.

"The southern flank is not good for Russia today. There are battles in the north, the occupying Russian forces are trying to advance. The southern flank is more active, where the Ukrainian Armed Forces are making progress. Here we can state that the enemy has retreated to the railroad, and is trying to gain a foothold there. Where Kurdyumivka is located, the enemy is retreating behind the railroad. They are also trying to establish their defensive lines along the 0513 road to Horlivka. The enemy is using all its available reserves there, including units of the 31st Detached Air Assault Brigade of the Russian Federation, units of the 4th Motorized Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Army Corps and units of a tank regiment," summarized Oleh Kalashnikov.

• During the day on September 15, Ukrainian army successfully advanced in the area of Klishchiivka, Donetsk region. According to the General Staff, the Ukrainian Armed Forces captured Andriivka. In addition, the Russian forces lost 470 soldiers, 13 tanks and 28 artillery systems.
