Ukraine will have more drones, Russia will have less warships - minister
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that Ukraine will have more drones and will be able to attack Russian ships more often
This was reported by Reuters.
According to the minister, Ukraine will soon be able to conduct more attacks on Russian ships.
"There will be more drones, more attacks, and fewer Russian ships. That’s for sure," the minister emphasized.
Fedorov noted that in 2023, the production of drones in Ukraine increased by more than 100 times compared to last year.
"I think it’ll be an increase of around 120 to 140 times by the end of this year, if you compare it to the previous one," he predicted.
According to the minister, Ukraine is testing artificial intelligence systems that can localize targets several kilometers away and send drones to them, even if external communications are disrupted by electronic warfare.
Attacks on Russian vessels
On the night of September 13, Russia accused Ukraine of launching a massive missile attack on a shipyard in Sevastopol and damaging two ships. Ukrainian intelligence confirmed the damage to a large amphibious assault ship and a Russian submarine.
It should be noted that Ukrainian partisans also helped attack Russian vessels. They are collecting information and passing it on to Ukraine's special services.
The special operation to destroy the Rostov-on-Don submarine and the Minsk landing ship was carried out thanks to the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Another recent attack took place on September 14. The Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted two Project 22160 patrol ships of the Vasily Bykov type of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
Then, the Ukrainian experimental drone Sea Baby damaged the Russian missile ship Samum.
