Ukrainian forces strike at two Russian Navy ships, damaging them
The Ukrainian Defense Forces have attacked two Russian Black Sea Fleet’s patrol ships of the Vasily Bykov type
This was reported by the Strategic Communications Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On the morning of September 14, Ukrainian Defense Forces targeted two patrol ships of the Vasyl Bykov project 22160 of the Russian occupation fleet in the southwestern part of the Black Sea. There is some damage," the statement said.
According to Radio Liberty’s Krym.Realii project, there are only four of them in Russia: "Vasily Bykov", "Dmitry Rogachev", "Pavel Derzhavin" and "Sergei Kotov".
Following the Strategic Communications Directorate's report, a video of marine drones attacking a warship was posted on Telegram by the Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov. However, the author did not specify whether the video was related to the September 14 attack.
It should be noted that the Russian Defense Ministry reported twice on September 14 about the "repulsion of the attack" by naval drones.
First, at about 05:00 a.m., an attack by 5 naval drones on the Sergei Kotov patrol ship was allegedly repelled.
Later, at 5:56 p.m., the Russian ministry reported an attack by another unmanned boat, which was allegedly eliminated by aviation.
