Operation in Sevastopol, destruction of two Russian ships: Ukrainian Special Forces share details
The special operation to destroy the Rostov-na-Donu submarine and the Minsk landing ship was carried out thanks to the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The Special Operations Forces’ press service reported this.
It is noted that initially, the Special Forces received information from several sources about the likely location of the Minsk landing ship and the Rostov-na-Donu submarine at one of the ship repair facilities in Sevastopol.
"In order to identify targets, direct and adjust fire, as well as reconnaissance at the enemy's operational depth, the operators of Special Forces were involved," the statement reads.
It is reported that the group approached a safe place on boats and moved to the shore thanks to an underwater vehicle. After successful infiltration, the soldiers began to carry out the main part of the operation.
During the direct attack, the group adjusted fire and confirmed the destruction of targets.
"All this became possible thanks to the professionalism and courage of our soldiers!" the statement added.
