Romania finds new wreckage of Russian Shahed near Ukraine border
On July 31, special services and experts from the Romanian Ministry of National Defense discovered new fragments of a Russian drone near the border with Ukraine

The Romanian Ministry of National Defense reported the information.
The wreckage was found near the village of Ceatalchioi, Tulcea county. “Operational procedures for such situations” were introduced there.
The ministry emphasized that the place where the wreckage fell was outside of settlements. No people or infrastructure were injured or damaged.
“We also reiterate our strong condemnation of the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation on some targets and elements of Ukrainian civilian infrastructure, which are unjustified and in serious violation of international law,” the statement said.
- On the night of July 24, residents of the northern part of Romania’s border Tulcea county were issued an air raid alert during the Russian attack on Ukraine.
- The incident in Romania was also mentioned by the Romanian Air Force and Romanian media.
- Subsequently, the Romanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned a chargé d'affaires to Russia after incidents with Russian drones in the country.
