Unclear why Ukraine leaves working industrial facilities for Russia – expert Sniehyriov
Military expert and co-chairman of the Prava Sprava NGO, Dmytro Sniehyriov, highlighted that there are numerous examples of Ukraine's industrial infrastructure being handed over to Russia in working condition
He shared his opinions with Espreso TV.
“A rather strange situation arises when the occupiers wipe Ukrainian cities off the face of the earth, making them uninhabitable, while the industrial infrastructure remains in working condition. In Novohrodivka, the mines have come under the control of the occupiers with a working drainage system,” noted Sniehyriov.
According to the military expert, the Donetsk Military Administration should address the following questions: Why does Ukraine leave the mines in working condition for the occupying forces? Why does it not cut off the power supply and flood industrial facilities that will subsequently operate for the Russian economy, even without investment in their restoration?
“Unfortunately, there are quite a few examples of such cases when Ukraine's industrial infrastructure is transferred to the occupiers in working order. Let's recall Bakhmut, when the Wagner PMC fighters demonstrated the amount of captured industrial equipment and finished products of the famous champagne factory. No one asked the question: what happened?” Sniehyriov emphasized.
