Russia fails to form striking force in Svatove-Kupyansk direction – AFU Junior Sergeant Maliarevych
Oles Maliarevych, junior sergeant of an attack UAV and artillery reconnaissance company of the 92nd Brigade named after Kish otaman Ivan Sirko of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, says Russian forces are trying to launch strike and assault operations in the Svatove-Kupyansk direction
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"In recent weeks, the situation has been quite tense in the Kupyansk-Svatove area. The enemy continues to carry out attack and assault operations, but they have not recaptured a single meter of de-occupied territory. In this section of the frontline, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are tasked with preventing the enemy's breakthrough, and this task is being performed very successfully," emphasized Maliarevych.
According to the junior sergeant, a counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is impossible without destroying Russian artillery.
"In the Svatove-Kreminna area, the enemy has concentrated a fairly powerful force and is constantly reinforcing it. Russians are deploying Storm Z units into the battle, most of which we have eliminated. The enemy has no shortage of ammunition or personnel. The enemy is constantly replenishing its forces, but it fails to create the striking forces that will help them succeed in this area. A counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces is impossible without destroying the enemy's artillery. Before attacking and capturing enemy positions, it is necessary to exhaust the enemy's personnel and artillery," noted Maliarevych.
