Fighting continues around the clock in Svatove sector – AFU company commander Fedorenko
The Ukrainian Armed Forces are effectively conducting counter-battery operations in Luhansk region, notes Yuriy Fedorenko, commander of AFU artillery aerial reconnaissance company and Kyiv City Council member
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"There is tension in the direction of Kreminna. The enemy is deploying the maximum number of reserves of manpower, equipment and artillery in an attempt to push through our defense. The initiative remains on the side of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and the enemy does not even manage to gain sectoral victories," Fedorenko stressed.
According to the AFU aerial reconnaissance commander, fighting in the Svatove sector continues around the clock.
"The intensity of the enemy's artillery shelling is more than stormy. They cover certain squares, leveling them to the ground, but AFU manage to effectively conduct counter-battery combat. Over the past few days, more than 6 armored vehicles have been destroyed, including 2 enemy tanks. The enemy is trying to seize the initiative and identify weaknesses in the Ukrainian defense. The enemy is sending manpower periodically and trying to push through our positions, but suffers losses and is being pulled back," emphasized Fedorenko.
