Russia hurries to launch new large-scale offensive in Ukraine — ISW
The Russians are in a hurry to start a new large-scale offensive in order to carry it out before the heavy Western equipment arrives in Ukraine
This is reported by the Institute for the Study of War.
American analysts note that some Russian nationalists keep expressing skepticism about Russia's ability to launch a successful offensive in late February.
A military propagandist associated with Wagner PMC noted that the Russian General Staff head Valery Gerasimov currently in command of the occupation forces in Ukraine has little time to launch a large-scale offensive operation before it becomes impossible to carry it out.
Another ultra-nationalist and war criminal Igor Girkin predicted that a Russian offensive would not succeed without engaging people for effective industry and economy functioning. In his opinion, without this, the attack will soon reach its climax.
"Both observations highlight that the Russian military command appears to be in a rush to launch the decisive offensive, likely ahead of the arrival of Western military aid and the muddy spring season in Ukraine around April that hindered Russian mechanized maneuvers in spring 2022," the ISW concluded.
