Ukraine working on alternatives amid U.S. intelligence sharing halt — Defense Minister
Ukraine’s Defense Minister Rustem Umerov says that Kyiv has not yet received detailed information on how U.S. intelligence data will be restricted, but the country is working on alternatives

He made this statement during a press conference following negotiations with German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius in Berlin, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
According to Umerov, if necessary, Kyiv will request intelligence information from Berlin.
“As for intelligence data, we have not yet received detailed information on how they will be restricted, but we are already working on alternatives, including the possibility of requesting such data from Germany if needed,” he said.
- On March 5, CIA Director John Ratcliffe officially announced a temporary halt in the provision of weapons and intelligence data to Ukraine. However, Bloomberg, citing a Ukrainian official, claimed that Kyiv was still receiving U.S. intelligence.
- Later, the Institute for the Study of War reported that the suspension of intelligence-sharing between the U.S. and Ukraine would allow Russia to intensify its drone and missile strikes on Ukrainian cities.
- The French Defense Ministry stated that France is ready to provide intelligence to Ukraine in place of the U.S.
