Zelenskyy and Macron arrive in Brussels for the EU summit
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron arrive in Brussels to participate in the EU summit
This is informed by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on Twitter.
“Welcome to Brussels, dear Zelenskyy. The heart of the European family, in which Ukraine belongs. We will support Ukraine every step of the way towards our Union,” the Commission’s President writes.
Earlier, the chairman of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola announced that Volodymyr Zelenskyy will speak to the Union's parliamentarians:
“A historic day for Europe. Proud to announce that the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy will be at the European Parliament this morning. To address the people of Europe from the House of European democracy,” she writes on Twitter.

On February 8, Zelenskyy arrived in the UK to meet with Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and King Charles III. He also spoke in the British Parliament, where he called for the creation of the aircraft coalition and said that these are "wings for freedom."

In addition, Zelenskyy visited a British military base where Ukrainian soldiers are being trained.

During his visit to the UK, Zelenskyy and Sunak signed the London Declaration, which refers to military aid, sanctions, and the reconstruction of Ukraine.

French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz personally assured President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of support "as long as needed" after their meeting on the evening of February 8.
