Zaluzhnyi, Milley discuss Ukraine counteroffensive, weapons, air defense
In an ongoing partnership discussion, Ukraine's Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, had a phone call with the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley
Zaluzhnyi shared this update on his Telegram channel.
During their conversation, Zaluzhnyi briefed General Milley about the current situation on the frontline and the progress of the offensive operation.
“We also delved into the critical topics of weapons and ammunition supply and enhancing Ukraine's air defense capabilities. I expressed gratitude for the recently announced security assistance package from the USA and the support of Ukraine's allies in acquiring F-16 fighter jets,” the post says.

On August 29, the USA provided an additional USD 250 million in military aid to Ukraine, including air defense missiles, artillery shells, and Javelin missiles.

Furthermore, the 15th Ramstein meeting is scheduled for September 19 at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany, as reported on August 31.
