Krakow holds commemoration of Russia's July 8 massive attack on Ukraine
A commemorative event related to Russia's massive attack on civilian targets throughout Ukraine on July 8 has taken place on the Market Square in the center of Krakow
The Consulate General of Ukraine in Krakow reported the information.
The participants observed a minute of silence in memory of those killed in the horrific attacks on Kyiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Nikopol, and other cities and towns of Ukraine.

The demonstration, calling on the international community to stop the killing of Ukrainians, was organized by the Ukrainian NGOs SUN for Ukraine Chimera Kultur and United Humanitarian People in cooperation with other associations in Krakow, as well as with the participation of volunteers, Ukrainian students, scouts, educators, doctors, and foreign friends.

Consul General of Ukraine in Krakow Viacheslav Voinarovskyi addressed the organizers and participants of the campaign, as well as residents and visitors of Krakow, who gathered on the central square of the city. He appealed to the Polish public and the international community to stop the actions of the Russians who are committing war crimes and crimes against humanity on the territory of Ukraine.
Russia's massive attack on Ukraine on July 8
During the massive missile attack on July 8, over 40 missiles of various types struck various cities in Ukraine.
In particular, Russia launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. As a result, there were numerous killed and wounded in the Kyiv region, Kryvyi Rih, Pokrovsk, Dnipro, and Kyiv.
As of this morning, 27 people were killed and 117 injured in the capital as a result of the missile strike. Damage was recorded in 7 districts of the city.
In the Shevchenkivskyi district, Russian forces attacked the Okhmatdyt children's hospital. Two adults were killed (one of them a doctor), and 10 were injured. Several other buildings were damaged. Work is underway to clear the rubble and search for people.
In another location in the district, one block of a multi-storey residential building was completely destroyed, while the rest were damaged.
Debris was also recorded falling in Solomianskyi, Dniprovskyi, Darnytskyi, Desnianskyi, and Holosiivskyi districts.
Later, on July 8, Russian forces struck Kyiv for the second time. Civilians were killed and injured as a result of the missile fragments falling on the medical center.
In Kryvyi Rih, 10 people were killed in the attack and 47 others were wounded.
"There are no soldiers among the killed or wounded - all of them are civilians," emphasized Oleksandr Vilkul, head of the city's defense council.
In Dnipro city, a multi-storey building, an enterprise, and a service station were damaged. One person was reported killed and 12 injured.
In addition, on the morning of July 8, Russian troops attacked a company in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. It has been preliminarily established that they fired from Smerch MLRS.
Invading Russian forces targeted a private enterprise. The explosion killed three employees on the spot. Three more people were injured.
