Water level drops by 20 cm in Kherson region, 3,624 houses in 32 settlements flooded
On the morning of June 9, the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, has said that the water level in the region dropped by 20 cm, and 3,624 houses in 32 settlements are flooded
He shared the information on Telegram.
"According to the latest information, the water level on the right bank reaches 5.38 cm, in Kherson it reaches 5.35 cm. The water level dropped by 20 cm overnight," he said.
As of the morning of June 9, a total of 3,624 houses in 32 settlements of the Kherson region have been confirmed to be flooded.
"In the morning, 2,352 people and about 550 animals were evacuated," added the head.
He also called on Kherson residents living in the flooded area to evacuate immediately.
The Telegram channel of the Kakhovka HPP destruction relief headquarters stated that due to constant Russian shelling and the deteriorating security situation in Kherson, the Kherson Regional Military Administration asks volunteers with boats who intended to join the rescue operation to refrain from visiting the city.

In Mykolaiv, the water level in the city is being monitored. As of the night of June 9, there has been a drop of 5 cm in the water level. Currently, the water level in the water area is 100 cm.
Five more houses were flooded overnight in the Snihurivka community, Mykolaiv region.
