Russia's losses in the war have crossed the mark of 250,000 soldiers

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On August 6, Russia lost 540 soldiers, 18 cruise missiles and 28 drones in Ukraine. There were 50 combat clashes at the front.

The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 07.08.23 were approximately:

Ukrainian Special Forces target Russian unit in Kherson region

The Special Forces of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine targeted a missile unit of the Russian army during an operation in the temporarily occupied left bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region.

This was reported by the press centre of the Main Intelligence Directorate.

"Special forces of Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate are conducting successful operations on the left bank of the Kherson region," the statement said.

It is noted that the fighters of the Special Forces unit, the Shaman battalion, are advancing deep into the temporarily occupied territories and continue to inflict losses on the Russian enemy.

Thus, their actions resulted in the destruction of one of the units of the Russian special purpose missile forces.

The Bundestag agrees on the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine

This was reported by Yehor Chernev, MP from the Servant of the People party, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on National Security and Defence, citing his own sources.

According to him, these missiles can hit enemy targets in the south of the temporarily occupied Crimea.

"My friends from the Bundestag have just informed me that key parliamentary factions have reached a consensus on the transfer of long-range Taurus missiles to Ukraine. These missiles have a range of 500 km and can cover all occupied territories, including the southern coast of Crimea," the politician wrote.

He stressed that this decision is the result of a long work with German parliamentarians to form a support group.

Another 22 Ukrainian prisoners of war returned home

"Today, 22 more Ukrainian soldiers have been returned home from captivity. They took part in battles in different areas, and there are wounded among the released," the statement said.

It is reported that Ukraine has returned two captured officers, as well as soldiers and non-commissioned officers.

These are soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The oldest was 54 years old, and the youngest was 23 years old.

Ukrainian aviation carried out 9 strikes against Russian enemy

Over the past 24 hours, the Defence Forces’ aviation carried out 9 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment.

During the day, missile and artillery units struck 2 control points, an area where Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment were concentrated, 5 artillery pieces in firing positions and one enemy radar station.
