22 Ukrainian prisoners of war return from Russian captivity
On Monday, August 7, 22 more soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have returned home from Russian captivity
Andriy Yermak, the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, reported the information.
"Today, 22 more Ukrainian soldiers were returned home from captivity. They took part in battles in different areas. There are wounded among the released," the statement said.
It is reported that Ukraine returned 2 captured officers, as well as soldiers and non-commissioned officers.
These are soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The oldest is 54 years old, and the youngest is 23 years old.
"All the released soldiers will undergo a course of physical and psychological rehabilitation, reintegration and receive the necessary treatment with the support of medical specialists," Yermak wrote.
Dmytro Lubinets, the Ukrainian Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, said that as of August 7, a total of 2,598 Ukrainians had returned home.
"This is the 48th exchange that has been carried out," the ombudsman said.
