Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence Special Forces destroy Russian unit in Kherson region

"Special forces of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine are conducting successful operations on the left bank of the Kherson region," the statement said.

The fighters of the DIU Special Forces unit, the Shaman battalion, are advancing deep into the temporarily occupied territories and inflicting losses on the Russian army.

Thus, thanks to their actions, one of the units of the Russian special purpose missile forces was destroyed.

• Kyrylo Budanov, the head of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, emphasized that while the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive faces challenges due to Russian defenses, its momentum remains unbroken. Notably, the military's progress in the Bakhmut direction is slightly outpacing advancements in the southern region.
