Ukrainian forces have partial success near Urozhayne and Staromayorske

This was reported by the Media Platform of the Defense Forces with reference to the AFU General Staff spokesman Andrii Kovaliov.

“The Ukrainian Defense Forces are currently carrying out attacks in the Bakhmut, Melitopol, and Berdyansk directions. They have made some progress toward Urozhayne and the areas south and southeast of Staromayorske, where they have taken control and fortified their positions,” the message says.

Ukrainian soldiers are also actively defending the area south of the city of Bakhmut

Ukrainian troops are also holding their ground in the Kupyansk and Lyman directions. Russian troops' attempts to advance northeast of Druzhba have not been successful, and they have been unable to reclaim their previously lost position on the outskirts of Klishchiivka.

Explosions and fire near Moscow

Local rescuers reported an explosion in the Domodedovo industrial zone.

Eyewitnesses say that the explosion may have been caused by gas cylinders. A number of resources reported that some local residents allegedly heard sounds ‘similar to air defense systems’ before the explosion, but there is no confirmation of this information.

The city is located 37 km south of the center of Moscow. It is known for the location of one of Moscow's airports.

At another Moscow airport, Vnukovo, 11 departure and arrival flights were delayed, according to the Baza Telegram channel. According to preliminary data, the Kover (Carpet) plan was announced around 2:30 p.m. Such a plan is introduced when unknown flying objects are detected in the sky.

Explosions heard near Russian-occupied Sevastopol

On the night of August 10, explosions were reportedly heard in occupied Sevastopol. The Russian Ministry of Defense announced an attack by 11 drones.

This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and the Crimean Wind channel on Telegram.

Previously, explosions were heard in the Saky district of Crimea.

"Near the city of Sevastopol, 2 UAVs were hit by air defense systems, another 9 were suppressed by electronic warfare, and crashed in the Black Sea without reaching their target," the statement said.

Ukrainian aviation launches 10 strikes against Russian forces

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported the information.

During the day, Ukrainian aviation carried out 10 strikes on concentrations of Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment, and 2 more on an anti-aircraft missile system.

Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 7 Russian attack UAVs of the Shahed-136 type.

Over the day, Ukrainian missile and artillery units destroyed 4 artillery pieces in their firing positions, targeted a place where Russian personnel, weapons and military equipment were concentrated, and hit an electronic warfare station and a communication center.

Pretrial restraint imposed on Ukrainian MP Dubinskyi

On Thursday, August 10, the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv imposed a pretrial restraint on Ukrainian MP Oleksandr Dubinskyi, who is suspected of forging documents for traveling abroad during martial law.

An Espreso correspondent reported the information from the courtroom.

The court imposed personal obligations on Dubinskyi: to appear before the investigating prosecutor and the court, not to leave the Kyiv region, to refrain from communicating with witnesses, to hand over all passports, and to wear an electronic bracelet for a period of two months - until October 8, 2023.

On June 19, the suspect drew up and sent a statement to the Ministry of Health, in which he asked for assistance in processing documents for crossing the state border from June 26 to July 10 to travel to Vienna, the prosecutor reported.

The MP crossed the border on June 27, and his father crossed the border on June 26 at different checkpoints. Dubinskyi returned on July 27 instead of July 10, as he indicated in a statement to the Ministry of Health.

Currently, the MP is charged under Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine for forgery, i.e., the preparation of deliberately false official documents by an official.

Ukraine terminates agreement with Russia on promotion and protection of investments

Ukrainian MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported the information.

The decision to terminate the agreement with Russia was voted for by 274 MPs.

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers and the Russian government signed an agreement on the promotion and mutual protection of investments on November 27, 1998 in Moscow to create and maintain favorable conditions for investment and expand economic cooperation.

"Each of the contracting parties will encourage investors of the other contracting party to make investments in its territory and shall allow such investments in accordance with its legislation," the text of the terminated agreement read.

Estonia provides Ukraine with small arms

At a meeting on August 10, the Estonian government supported the proposal of Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur to provide Ukraine with 150 handguns and ammunition.

The press service of Estonia's Ministry of Defense reported the information.

“We must support Ukraine in their fight against the continuing Russian aggression. Once again, we have found an opportunity where Estonia can lend a helping hand,” said Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.

“The Russian Federation cannot gain anything from this aggression. Therefore, all who support Ukraine must both speed up the provision of military aid as well as increase the capacity of their defense industry,” he added.

Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Estonia has been providing financial and military assistance to Ukraine, as well as hosting refugees. As of now, Estonia has provided military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of over EUR 400 million, or over 1% of GDP.
