Japan to supply the US with explosives for the production of shells for the AFU
Tokyo and Washington have found a way to ensure the supply of explosives from Japan for the production of 155-millimeter artillery shells to be supplied to Ukraine for a counteroffensive. Reuters reported this with reference to two officials.
Export restrictions for dual-use products or equipment sold commercially are less stringent than for purely military goods, so Japan will be able to supply industrial trinitrotoluene to the United States.
According to the publication, the United States wants to involve a Japanese company in the trinitrotoluene supply chain to supply the explosive to ammunition plants owned by the US Army, where this material will be used, in particular, to produce 155 mm artillery shells.

US to help Ukraine build 'army of the future'
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says the US will help build the Ukrainian ‘army of the future’.
According to him, the army of the future includes modern air forces, integrated air and missile defense, advanced tanks and armored vehicles, national munitions production capabilities, and training and support to keep forces and equipment combat ready.
At the same time, Washington will encourage other countries' initiatives to end the war if they comply with the UN Charter.
However, Washington will continue to support Ukraine militarily, as a prerequisite for effective diplomacy is that Kyiv is able to deter and defend itself against any future aggression, Blinken emphasized.
