Local authorities reports explosions near port in Russian-held Berdiansk

The Berdiansk City Military Administration and local Telegram channels reported the information. The explosions in the port were also confirmed by representatives of the Russian occupation authorities. 

"Explosions in Berdiansk! There are hits on the occupiers' positions. We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for bringing the liberation of the city closer. We are waiting for details and confirmation from the General Staff regarding the situation," the Berdiansk CMA said.

According to the Berdiansk Siohodni (Berdiansk Today) Telegram channel, several missiles hit the port. An explosion was also heard in the village of Osypenko, and eyewitnesses observed gray smoke in the vicinity of the training ground, which dissipated quickly. There were also reports of a smoke streak visible in the sky. 

In addition, according to Berdiansk residents, the missile was flying towards the Berdiansk Strait. According to preliminary data, it was shot down and could have fallen near the village of Slobidka.

Collaborator Volodymyr Rohov, who cooperates with Russian occupying forces and calls himself "a representative of the main council of the military-civilian administration of Zaporizhzhia region," confirmed the hit on the territory of the seaport. He reported the occurrence of several loud explosions in Berdiansk around 12:00 am. According to his preliminary information, there were three explosions. Rohov stated that it was an "attempted missile attack" by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and claimed that the Russian air defense system was activated in response. He further mentioned that there were no casualties or damages reported.

The the Berdiansk Sohodni Telegram channel noted, "With lightning speed, the invaders confirmed the explosions in the occupied port of Berdiansk and said there were no casualties or damage! Usually, this is a sure sign that the Ukrainian Armed Forces hit the right spot and the consequences for the enemy are very serious!"

Despite the initial reports suggesting that everything is under control, Telegram channels report that ships have started to depart from the port of Berdiansk following the explosions.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have not yet commented on the explosions.
