Ukrainian troops launch 12 strikes on Russian military positions, shoot down 3 army reconnaissance UAVs
Over the last day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces' aviation launched 12 strikes on the invading Russian forces' military positions. In addition, the Ukrainian military destroyed 3 reconnaissance UAVs, 2 of which were Orlan-10 and 1 was Supercam
The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on May 14.
“Missile and artillery units hit 1 control center, 6 manpower concentration areas, 2 artillery units at firing positions, as well as 1 more important enemy target,” the statement said.
Over the last day, Russia launched 27 airstrikes and 20 MLRS attacks
During the day, the Russian troops launched 6 missile attacks, in particular on the city of Kharkiv and the village of Zolochiv. In addition, they launched 27 airstrikes and 20 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Civilians were injured, private houses, other civilian and administrative infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected.
At the same time, the Russian Federation continued shelling the entire line of contact: 3 settlements in the Chernihiv region, 2 more in the Sumy region, as well as 2 villages in the Kharkiv region were attacked.
Shelling of Ukrainian regions
In the Kupiansk direction, 10 settlements of the Kharkiv and Luhansk region came under artillery fire.
In the Lyman direction, 9 settlements of the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire.
In the Bakhmut direction, fighting continues for the fortress city. 13 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces.
In the Avdiivka direction, 7 settlements of the Donetsk region were shelled.
In the Marinka direction, 5 settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, 3 localities in the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson direction, over 30 cities and villages came under numerous attacks by the Russian army.
Russia's Defense Ministry continues to take measures to integrate the 'DPR' armed groups into its own Armed Forces
“The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation continues to take measures to integrate the illegal armed groups of the so-called 'DPR' into its own armed forces,” the statement reads.
It is noted that an order has been brought to all personnel of one of the brigades of the 1st Army Corps of the Russian Armed Forces, in which former servicemen of the so-called 'DPR' are required to replace their military cards with military cards of the Russian Armed Forces, as well as to re-sign contracts with the Russian Defense Ministry with a minimum term of military service of two years.
