Ukrainian troops haven't yet deployed tactical, operational reserves in Zaporizhzhia sector - military expert
The first stage of Ukraine's counteroffensive is underway in the Zaporizhzhia region. The Ukrainian military managed to break through the first line of Russia's defense
Military expert Dmytro Sniehyrov said this on Espreso TV.
“Zaporizhzhia region. The Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to break through the first line of the occupying Russian troops' defense. The troops are now counterattacking in several directions - near Orikhiv and Lobkove. According to the Russian side, Lobkove is in the 'gray zone' - we can assume that the Ukrainian Armed Forces control a significant part of this settlement,” he said.
The expert added that the second line of Russia's defense is continuous minefields, air and artillery cover.
“The difficulty of the advance is the plain, everything is easy to see. Plus, the invaders had a year to prepare defensive positions. There are successes, they are now at the tactical level. Now we are talking about creating the preconditions and the first stage of the counteroffensive. It should not be considered as if it has already happened. The deployment of Ukrainian troops and reconnaissance by combat is a proven fact. Now the Ukrainian Armed Forces are involved at the level of company units without the introduction of tactical and operational reserves,” Sniehyrov summarized.
