Ukrainian military complains about severe ammunition shortage
Ruslan Andriyko, a fighter in the Legion of Freedom, has stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are currently facing a shortage of ammunition. As a result, they are unable to launch offensives and can only defend their positions
He shared this information on Espreso.
Andriyko, who works in the direction of Lyman - Kreminna, noted that the enemy has substantial ammunition reserves, enabling them to conduct constant shelling of the front line. Conversely, the Armed Forces can currently only maintain defensive positions.
"Unfortunately, there is not enough ammunition. In comparison to the Russians, who have vast reserves and can shoot as much as they want, we can only fight back and hold the defense lines. There is not enough ammunition to carry out offensive actions. This problem must be solved. The expenses are enormous, and we understand how huge the defense line is. There is constant artillery fire along the entire line, including from our side," he said.
The officer also emphasized that the number of casualties is directly related to the amount of ammunition available. "Ammunition is, first of all, the life of our soldiers. If there is adequate ammunition, there will be fewer losses among our soldiers," Andriyko emphasized.
