Andriy Yusov, representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, told Armiya Inform about this.
"We expect very active developments in February-March. Putin's task is to seize Donbas by March. Nothing will work. These dates have already been postponed many times," Yusov said.
Intensity of fighting in the east, which Ukrainian intelligence is currently observing in Donbas, is only an attempt to implement the Russian leader's plans to seize Ukraine.
"Not counting the loss of manpower and equipment, the Russian enemy is trying to fulfill the dictator's objectives. Therefore, there will be activity in the near future," representative of Ukrainian military intelligence added.
Previously, Bloomberg wrote that despite the loss of the Russian army in war with Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning a new offensive, which may begin in February-March.
Oleksiy Danilov, secretary of NSDC, said that Russians are preparing for a new wave of offensives in Ukraine by February 24 and are testing Ukraine's defense capabilities. Subsequently, he emphasized that authorities understand the threat of repeated attack by Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine and are vigorously preparing.
On February 1, Secretary of National Security and Defense Council stated: "Russians are preparing for maximum escalation of war, and no scenario can be ruled out in the next two or three weeks."
On February 2, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered capture of the entire territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions by March.
