Ukrainian army hasn’t lost single position in Bakhmut this week, inflicted heavy losses on Russia – Maliar
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Maliar says that this week the Ukrainian Armed Forces have not lost a single position in Bakhmut and inflicted heavy losses on the Russian army, despite it having an abundance of weapons
She reported the information on her Telegram channel.
"During the week, Bakhmut and events related to it remained the leading topic in Russian Telegram channels and media. An analysis of the messages shows that this city is of utmost importance to the enemy. It is almost sacred," she said in the post.
Malyar also said that Russians talk about "success" and invent a story about the Ukrainian military command when covering information about the fighting in Bakhmut.
"At the same time, the enemy gives false information about the lack of weapons, which probably aims to justify the real situation," the Defense Ministry spokeswoman said.
In reality, despite the having weapons, the situation was as follows:
-
Russia failed to realize its plans
-
Russia suffered losses in manpower
-
Ukrainian defenders advanced 2 km in the Bakhmut direction
-
Ukraine did not lose a single position in Bakhmut this week
To recap, the head of Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, is the one who complains about the lack of ammunition the most in Russia, and according to experts, he is trying to justify his failure to capture Bakhmut. The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense believes that "Any military information during the war is a weapon. It is used to fight, not to inform. So, the enemy is simply misleading us for its military purposes."
