Russian troops retreat up to 2 kilometers in Bakhmut – Ukrainian top commander
Ukraine's army has forced invading Russian forces to retreat to a distance of up to 2 kilometers in the Bakhmut sector
Oleksandr Syrskyi, the commander of Ukraine’s Land Forces, said on his Telegram channel.
“Thanks to a well-thought-out defense in the Bakhmut direction, we are seeing results of our units' effective actions. In particular, we are conducting effective counterattacks. In some areas of the frontline, the enemy was unable to withstand the onslaught of Ukrainian defenders and retreated to a distance of up to 2 kilometers,” he said.
According to the Land Forces Commander, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the frontline securely and preventing the enemy from advancing. The battle for Bakhmut continues.

On May 10, Mykola Volokhov, commander of the Terra reconnaissance unit of the Azov tactical group, said that Ukrainian troops had liberated more than two kilometers of Bakhmut, Donetsk region.
