Ukrainian Armed Forces have to break through 15-20 km to reach Russian land corridor with artillery - Svitan
Military expert, reserve colonel of Ukraine's Armed Forces, military pilot-instructor Roman Svitan noted that destroying enemy Russian forces' logistics in the south will put Russian troops in operational encirclement.
He said this on the Espreso TV channel.
"The war of logistics continues in the south. The task of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is to destroy the logistics supply chains for the Russian army. First, to disable the Crimean bridge. Second, to cross the land corridor or take it under operational control. That is, to be attacked by artillery or MLRS missiles in order to reach any point of the enemy's land traffic," Svitan said.
According to the reserve colonel, the Defence Forces need to reach the railway to Tokmak from Volnovakha. This will be the success of Ukrainian offensive in the south.
"After reaching and crossing the railway, we will be able to reach the Berdyansk-Tokmak land route. And with the help of HIMARS, we will be able to reach the Rostov-Melitopol land route. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have 15-20 km to go to complete this task. And this will put the Russian forces in an operational encirclement mode. When there is no supply of fuel and ammunition, it will be difficult for the Russian forces to conduct combat operations," Svitan stressed.
